Great app to ensure safe WiFi connectivity

This app works reasonably well, Ive taken to using it everywhere including considering cellular networks insecure, a slight delay and slowdown is expected when using a vpn, the slowdown is acceptable in my opinion. I have noticed that the vpn connection drops occasionally and when it does I can sometimes find myself in limbo where the app is trying to re establish a connection which is slightly annoying. Im not sure if this issue is limited only to switching from wifi to cellular network or vice versa, but it does happen occasionally. The remedy is simple, just toggle the service on/off and everything works as expected again. Im not reporting this to discourage others from using the app, simply alerting others to a potential issue and a simple way to correct it.

I use Cloak when Im connected to a public wifi. It connects automatically so I dont have to worry if Im hidden. I have had no issues as far as I can tell.

This does a fine job of keeping your interchanges safe when youre using a public network, like the ones youll encounter in an airport, a hotel, or a coffee shop. The ability to present an IP address from some useful geographic area will often (but not always) allow you to make use of services which youve legitimately paid for, but to which access is limited by content distribution agreements. I never use it when Im in my own home; I use it constantly when I travel.

I use this app all day every day at work on my phone and laptop and its invaluable. Low friction -- it auto-secures and "just works." Super easy to use and adds total peace of mind when using untrusted or open wifi networks.

Havent found better but still not crazy about its performance. The value for the price is low. That said, I havent found a better option. YET My issues it is S L O W, and if the subscription runs out you must flip to cell to purchase

An app that is invaluable to me I am using across all my devices. Love how it auto-secures untrusted connections which is especially great when traveling or when working in a lot of locations with untrusted or open wifi networks. Well worth the subscription.

The auto connection is a killer feature.

I had a paid service through a popular VPN for months but the service was very slow. I was reluctant to sign up for another service so I signed up for Cloak after a friend recommended it. I LOVE IT!! I cant tell it is even at work, except for the visible icon to let me know (I also love that it enables anytime I connect to an insecure network, even if I forget to turn it on). I recommend this service if you are looking for an easy and fast VPN.

Be prepared to stare at "connecting..." For a very long time. It does NOT work well.

the app just works, the security is perfect and there is no perceived lag when using the VPN. I am so amazed that the cost to use this app is so inexpensive, I use it everywhere.

Terrible speed on speed test.net over 1200ms ping .10 up .30 down Over 10x worse then no vpn, totally unacceptable given the high cost.

Can be turned on and off depending on the circumstance. I use it for accessing bank accts but the turn it off for streaming music from a public network. The OS X app is even better (eg using a MacBook in an airport).

So far it has been great, I will write a longer review after my trial and buy it hopefully

This is amazing. You tell it which wifi networks to trust... and boom! It automatically connects to the VPN for any other connection. This is THE BEST I have ever used.

I have tried about 7 different VPN services for Mac and iOS, some work great on Mac but not on iOS, and some the other way around. Now that there are so many varieties of Mac and iOS malware infections that do everything from wipe your device to take it over all together, it is essential to be protected on the road as well as at home. I like that you can simply trust or un-trust networks--any network--and cloak takes it from there without having remember to manually connect, this has become the best app on the market. Cloak warns you the moment you go to a fraudulent site or are on an untrusted network. Their “Over Cloak" adds yet another layer of security. It used to slow down my speeds a bit, but the new version has solved that problem. When I had an issue or simply did not understand something, their support was immediate and outstanding. I traveled to Europe and used Cloak, and felt really good to know I could still connect to my country of choice, or to the US if I wanted to watch HBO abroad. It worked behind the scenes, with a minimal amount of configuration. I highly recommend this application for all your devices, and cannot be happier with their support staff. I whole heartedly second the reviewer who said: “it just works."
