Easy to use, simple instructions and high security.

Don’t have high need for encryption (mostly on reliable networks), but when needed, it blocks connection and can’t ‘find’ servers, making it near useless. App contact to support ‘can’t connect’ and assures will send report when next able to connect… but no evidence it ever happens. No readily available number to call for support. Do not recommend use of this application.

VPN connects almost instantly and seamlessly at work guest WiFi. Struggles and almost never connects on home WiFi even sitting next to WiFi antenna with a strong signal! Frustrating. This is a new phenomena; previously connected with ease on home WiFi, not anymore.

Worked well for over a year. The last month or so it has stopped working most days. I won’t connect to the VPN and the “connect” button to turn it on and off doesn’t work.

Seems to still work mostly, but no updates in a year, no memos support for iOS 17.x. The macOS version does not work with macOS Sonoma, no response from the developer… I’m a long time customer and missed the memo that maintenance was going away.

This app is great protection along with duck duck go as your browser.

Haven't found better but still not crazy about its performance. The value for the price is low. That said, I haven't found a better option. YET My issues it is S L O W, and if the subscription runs out you must flip to cell to purchase

Encrypt me seems to do its job, but often doesn’t recognize my home network even though I have entered it as a trusted network. Says that a network is found but can’t determine the name.

Yet it’s not recognized on App and the VPN banner went away.

I am constantly having to reconnect or downright disconnect the VPN in order to get a useable internet connection. It will just totally freeze and be useless. Right now I’m going in an hour of fiddling with the app, log out, log in, delete VPN profile, reinstall VPN profile. Totally deleted the App and still I can’t get a connection. Don’t waste your time or money.

I’m currently in Lausanne Switzerland and was trying to retrieve my mail. I keep getting error Messages that my e-mail account is not properly configured. I switched the server from fastest available to Europe. Still not working. On a lark I turned off the VPN and immediately I received new e-mails and my sent mail went through. I had this happen previously in Europe. Still a lot of bugs. I renewed my ‘subscription’ and learned a few months later that the system did not acknowledge the renewal. Following the help page I tried deleting the app and reinstalling. From the help page the system would not allow me to log in siting all sorts of error messages. Finally I went to the web site and was able to get into my account and update my password.

I have iPhones, IPads, and Windows 11 systems. I’ve used #1NordVPN, #2HotSpot Shield, and Encrypt.me of the three it’s connection is intermittent and when it does connect it is slow no matter what server I try. I will not renew Encryptme. Purchase Eero + premium and Encrypt.me was apart of the suite. Do not purchase this product. Support does not reply.

No longer works due to an expired certificate.

If I manually turn the VPN off for a connection, I'd expect it to stop reconnecting. Please fix this bug / poor UX.

Second time. Great Protection.

Version 4.2.1 —————— - previous bug I had was fixed with 4.2.1 - now that its usable again, I can recommend Encrypt.me - update was a little slow, but I’m guessing my bug was hard to squash - SUPPORT was good, and response time was great. Actually getting somewhere with the support team was about 60% good, 40% bad... which is a complement... because my normal support I get with Microsoft is about 10% good, 90% bad. Version 4.2 —————— Used to be perfectly reliable under Cloak. Now, Encrypt.me ships with more bugs out of the gate. - won’t stay connected - VPN fails and the app logs out due to an error - reconnect attempt gets stuck connecting and blocks all WiFi communication - issue shows itself under Settings, General, then VPN- VPN shows disconnecting and never changes status.

Fast, easy to use! Could use a manual and I haven’t figured out how to allow some apps & websites. Once I do, I’ll give this app 5 stars because it’s a great VPN and encryptor, other than the aforementioned problem. I saw where other people here have said this app doesn’t work because of many different issues and there is only email support. There is a support phone line. I know because I had to get my account setup with the company before I could get it working. I just haven’t contacted them about my problem with allowing some apps & websites. Every now and then I’ve had to open the app and turn the encryption on again, but that’s only been three times in the 6 months I’ve had it. When that happens, it shuts down my internet connection and I appreciate that as this lets me know right away, and without a security worry, that there is a problem.

No longer works on my iPhone or iPad. It can’t establish a secure connection on any network anymore. I’ve tried reinstalling the VPN profile and the entire app. Nothing works any more.

Encrypt.me is part of the eero plan I paid an annual membership to Eero that included multiple Internet safety features. Encrypt.com was one of those safety apps yet it doesn’t connect. There are no instructions on how to utilize their VPN. It’s useless to me if I don’t know how to enter my profile in their app. There’s no live person to talk with. Support is only by email. This is a poor way to communicate if you don’t even know how to explain what isn’t working and what help you need.

Emailed them and they said their network was down. It’s 12 hours later and I still cannot connect on my iPhone

Keeps on dropping VPN connection

Encrypt.me was bought by another company and isn’t supported anymore. Not worth using or paying for. Often won’t connect and is slow if it does.

Always crashing and it knocks you offline or you can’t connect at all

Multiple times during the day my encryptme goes kaput. It takes so long to get back on! Looking for a better vpn.

This is a great app to have on my iPhone but it would be very helpful to have a PAUSE button. I’d rather pause for 5 or 10 minutes than turn it off completely and forget to turn it back on.

Used to be great but now our family plan is buggy and usually doesn’t work without a lot of effort. Support tries to help but app constantly requires handholding.

That’s what It is supposed to do

It doesn’t seem to do anything. You press connect then it just puts the button back. Not exactly what I was hoping for

Finally found a good VPN that works great and is fast!

I’ve used Encrypt.me for years & been pleased until recently. But… recently I’ve had problem after problem. To connect in a hotel is always a hassle. (We just returned from a three week trip with multiple hotel stays.) Now, & at home, a guest commented that HER VPN informed HER that it was connecting because MY home network was compromised. Funny, not a peep from Encrypt.me! No effort whatsoever to protect ME in my own home! In fact, when I tried to remove my network from “Trusted” status & Auto-secure it, just in case, the VPN Certificate was expired & Encrypt.me couldn’t or wouldn’t “Reinstall the VPN Profile”! My account expires next month. I doubt I’ll wait that long to install a new one from another company. I’m sorry. I’m loyal by nature & prefer writing positive reviews, but this is ridiculous. I don’t know Encrypt.me sold to, but they’re crummy!

Hasn’t worked for months. The certificate is always expired.

This has been preventing me from connecting to my home wifi network. Literally had zero issues using it for months, didn’t change a single setting and now I can’t connect

Was great until the new iOS update which makes this app/VPN unusable. Customer support is unhelpful to find a solution. Wouldn’t recommend, only use it because it’s part of the EERO plan.

Has not worked since iOS 16.3 update. The companies response was I have to wait till they have a fix. I would call that awful customer service especially for a so called “tech” company. Very disappointed in the service. Nord vpn or express vpn are miles better in all Departments.

I see reports from my eero and Safari that hundreds of trackers are blocked, and where I live there are a lot of networks that show up in Settings. I feel much better now that I have my own VPN.

It has trouble working

Download speed cut to half and upload speed cut 5 fold when using in best connection mode. Tech support said to use closest site for maximum speed. Implementing this suggestion led to even slower speeds and frequent failures to Cunene the along with freezes/loss of internet connection to device. App hasn’t been updated in a year.

It’s difficult to use this app and contact of your company is proving almost impossible plus going online was impossible as even Costco would not pull up so each time I needed the internet I had to turn off what was supposed to allow my safety online and I’ve had a stalker for 16 plus years

Often the app wont allow my devices to connect my own wireless network. Irritating.

I keep getting a certificate-expired message. Have deleted and reinstalled the app. Nothing works. I’ve had Cloak/Encript.me for years and it worked great until a few months ago. No longer works.

Slow performance. Many websites recognize you’re using this VPN and block traffic completely, negating it’s usefulness.
